About Me

Welcome to my website! I am a Senior Data Analyst at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and a Lecturer in Economics at University of Sydney. I am also a Visiting Fellow at the Research School of Economics, Australian National University. 

Prior to that I worked as a Lecturer and then as a Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University (POLIS: The Centre for Social Policy Research) between 2019 and 2024. I received my PhD in Finance from University of Sydney in 2015. 

I work across several areas of applied finance and economics. 

My current projects cover various topics ranging from the impact of financial crises on financial markets, Islamic finance, economics of education, health economics and economic sanctions to the socio-economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I have taught courses in econometrics, statistics, microeconomics and finance at the Australian National University since 2010 and at University of Sydney since 2024.
